Wandering Days

Well I've returned from my whirlwind adventure on the west coast. I hope this is the first of many similar trips. I got to see a long time friend and client I haven't seen in six years. I also got to fly for the first time in eight years and it has changed quite a bit. The highlights of the trip were: getting to meet some of matrix energetics buddies from the messageboard, meeting a long time internet buddy who took me to see the ocean and then to a sushi lunch, and passing on the rites of the munay-ki to my friend who had me flown out there.

It was enlivening to bring the rites of the Inca and the Qero to new people and it was the first time I had done so. I had a feeling of such profound light and fire. I really got to wear the shaman hat for a few days and apply all things I have been studying for the past 2 years. My visit to the ocean actually included a miraculous self healing event. Dragging everything through the airport (needs luggage with wheels) had created a lot of muscle tension. When I went to the ocean I opened myself energetically to the Pacific and was immediately splashed. As I danced out of the surf I noticed that all the tension had left my neck and back.

The other beautiful point of the trip was just the room I had at the Westin hotel. It was beautiful, simple and elegant. Most importantly it was all mine. This was the first time I'd had a room to just myself. I savored every moment of my solitude. Since coming back I have been in a blur of adjusting to the time change, plunging back into studio work, and leading the shamanic weather circle this past Friday. The weather circle was small but intense and the ceremony we did to honor the weather was simple and also profoundly beautiful. Still after work yesterday I was not content to sit still but took to wandering for a walk in the moonlight. I followed the moon roads and the rabbits that flew down them into familiar and strange places. I drank down the moonlight and it fed my spirit in ways I cannot describe. The moon's ways are strange like her children the fey. It may be my fate to walk a moonroad all my own. I'll let you know where it leads.

Healing waters

Many of you have been following the story of the oil spill down in the Gulf of Mexico. It is truly awful to see so much pollution spewed into our waters. It may have come at just the right time though as legislation threatens to open wildlife preserves up to more offshore drilling in some of the most fragile environments. I hope this can be a healing crisis not just of the oceans, but of our policies towards energy. This may serve as the wake up call that the way we have done business in the past will not work for us any longer. Still it is a horrible thing to have happened. When I journeyed to the weather spirits to see what could be done they said I should make a healing mandala for the ocean. I am posting it in as many places as possible. Please use this in your meditations and healing ceremonies for the Gulf of Mexico and other bodies of waters that need our care.
Peace and Blessings,
